Custom Gaming: Zombicide: Arkham Asylum Inmates

When we debuted Zombicide: Gotham City that was merely the beginning of our quest to the marry the world of Batman with the incredible zombie survival game Zombicide. With the second season of Zombicide on its way, we decided to take advantage of some of the new abilities to further flesh out the roster. We already covered the allies of Batman, and now we take a look at the inmates of Arkham Asylum looking to capitalize and breakout in the chaos.

As always we begin with a note: this is Zombicide: Arkham Asylum, not super hero, DC, or even just Batman. The reason is that we didn’t want any meta humans involved. So you won’t see us putting together survivor versions of Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, or even Green Lantern any time soon. We still wanted the characters to be grounded in reality as much as possible. We begin with a look at the man who originally broke the Bat.

Custom Gaming: Zombicide: Arkham Asylum Allies

When we debuted Zombicide: Gotham City that was merely the beginning of our quest to the marry the world of Batman with the incredible zombie survival game Zombicide. With the second season of Zombicide on its way though, we decided to take advantage of some of the new abilities to further flesh out the roster. First up, the Allies of Gotham who will unite to help the Bat overcome the zombie menace and take on the inmates of Arkham Asylum.

As a reminder, this is Zombicide: Arkham Asylum, not Super Hero Zombicide, DC, or even just Batman. The reason is that most meta humans make things messy when they get involved. So you won’t see us putting together survivor versions of Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, or even Green Lantern any time soon. We still wanted the characters to be grounded in reality as much as possible. And while we originally said that we probably weren’t going to create him, we begin with the first Robin – Dick Grayson – stepping out from the shadows as Nightwing.

Custom Gaming: Zombicide: Gotham City Re-skins and Development Notes

We started off by revealing the Heroes of Gotham and followed that up with a look at the Villains of Gotham that are facing down the undead. In this installment, we take a look at some Gotham City inhabitants who can be realized by simply re-skinning existing Zombicide characters, as well as provide some notes and address a few questions about the development and the future of Zombicide: Gotham City

There are plenty of great characters from Gotham. The problem is that many of them are very similar to existing characters, and we didn’t want to overly complicate the game by creating custom character cards for people that really didn’t need them. Instead, we looked at the season 1 Zombicide characters from the base game and Kickstarter stretch rewards and re-skinned them as necessary. As Zombicide moves into season 2 and beyond, we’ll have more characters to choose from and this list might expand:

Custom Gaming: Zombicide: Gotham City Villains

People seemed to enjoy our first attempt at customizing Zombicide to include The Dark Knight himself, but truthfully, we always had bigger plans (much bigger plans). After extensive testing, at least four rounds of revisions, and plenty of character impersonations we present: Zombicide: Gotham City. In this installment we cover the Villains of Batman’s Rogues Gallery, who look to capitalize on the anarchy of the zombie apocalypse.

First a note, this is Zombicide: Gotham City, not super hero, or DC, or even just Batman. The reason is that we didn’t want any meta humans involved. So you won’t see us putting together survivor versions of Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, or even Green Lantern. We still wanted the characters to be grounded in reality as much as possible. That being said, Gotham City and the Rogues Gallery lend themselves to tons of fantastic character options, starting with the clown prince of crime, The Joker.
